Baby Quilt

This is a baby quilt I did for a co-worker who did not let anyone know he was having a third child, a girl. While this may look plain it has lots of feather quilting and swirls. Bright, fun and cuddly. Her name is Marigold which is SO pretty.

The back...

Finishing up the T Shirt Quilts, hopefully tonight.
Ooooooooh that means I can work on something different (I didn't say new).
Although I have been working on 3 inch (finished) spool blocks. I think I will use them as a border on a court house steps quilt.

Crazy Needle Case

Our guild has a silent auction every year. One of the items I won was this crazy needle case.

The inside.

The needle case was made by Linda Smith. I smile every time I look at it. IT'S FABULOUS!!!!!!!!?

I was touched by a blogger requesting quilts for Christmas, the angel project. Gene Black does this every year.

The link can be found here http://blog.geneblack.com/2012/09/angel-project-update-and-history-lesson.html

Does anyone know how to put in a link using blog press?

Here is the quilt I sent - JOYFUL LOVE!

The third time is a charm

I hooked this trout yesterday and lost him. Hooked him this morning, lost and the FINALLY caught him. On my string he went and into the fridge.

Yesterday's catch.

The view from our camper. Our week here in the mountains has been wonderful. We head home tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing the kitties.

A better fishing day

Only caught 5 trout. Did snag a 12 inch sucker fish that was a pretty golden color. He went back into the stream.

The next photo is the second T Shirt quilt. I used the gold colored thread again and just love how it turned out. One side shows where I stopped binding. It's finished now. When I get home I will stitch out the labels and sew on the back.

Next photo is another QSC Quilts for Kids. Anita challenged me to come up with an arrangement around a panel. I custom quilted using a meander in the center and feathers for all the borders. I like it.

The sun is shining today and when it warms up, I will be headed out to my spot to fish. The feather weight is calling for attention.....Sew on me! Stitch a few and ahhhhhhhhhh feel the tension go away.

New Header

I played with an IPad App today, Pic Collage.  It's free and my grandson Johnny recommended it.  It's pretty neat and easy to use.  See my header.
