Celtic Solstice Part Four

I thought I had finished part four last Friday. But in reading other posts I misread the directions and I was short by 20 four patches. I whipped them out today.

Cute little four patch on the back and it looks like frog fabric lol.

I plan to do lots of quilting this weekend.

Celtic Solstice Clue Three

Is finished and has been done since last Friday. I trimmed my two inch squares the other night.

I am anxious for tomorrow morning to get here so that I can see what the next clue is. To see how others are progressing click here.

Sisters Choice Blocks

I really like how this top came together. Trying to use up 2.5 inch strips. They are out of control again...

I feathered this top and it has lovely texture. It will be a Christmas present for a couple. I see more of these in my future.

The back with lots of feathers!

I quilted this last weekend and never posted it.

Today I got clue three done on Celtic Solstice, which I will put in another post. Lots of piecing; heaven for me.

Time for dinner and some hand work.

All Cut, Ready To Sew

Tomorrow I'll be sewing part two of Celtic Solstice. In between other things today, I cut and cut some more.

One of my green fabrics came from my grandmothers stash. It has a duck on it. How are you doing with clue number two?

Celtic Solstice

I have been working on my units for part one of Celtic Solstice, Bonnie Hunters new mystery.

I only have about ten more units to stitch. Have you started and / or finished part one?

To see what others are doing look Here.

Look what the mail lady brought me on Saturday. Lots of quilt inspiration in this book. (I really don't need inspiration but this book spoke to me).

Lots of Progress

It's been a busy day. Yesterday I loaded my large scrappy trips so I could quilt it today. The setting is 6 x8. I get so excited when it comes off the floor.

The backing - paisley fabric is really brown. It was cloudy when I snapped photos this afternoon.

My count down to Christmas mini from Temecula Quilt company.

Yes I know mine is different. I'll be quilting it tomorrow and maybe enjoy it for this Christmas.

We had a nice thanksgiving with friends Thursday so today I have cooked a turkey breast. It just wouldn't be thanksgiving without turkey sandwiches YUM!

And I've already started Celtic Solstice. Have you started Bonnie's new mystery?

Making Tops

From piles of blocks. I tend to sew blocks and more blocks. They easily add up. Some of this stuff needs to move on. So, I pulled out my scrappy trips blocks and put together this top Monday evening. It will be a Christmas present. I actually need to down size my 2.5 inch strip bin AGAIN! Well that will have to wait. Excuse the bad picture, it's a indoor photo. Setting is 6 X 8 and I like it.

Next on the block list will be sisters choice blocks. These will be put together for another Christmas present.

I will be evaluating my excess quilts and deciding which ones I will donate to the tornado victims. I can't keep all of them....

Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.

Count down To Christmas

Are you keeping up with the Count Down to Christmas mystery from Temecula Quilt Co? I am fascinated with the small quilts. Here is one of my blocks, based on the last clue.

Teeny tiny but so cute.

QOV

Friday we had a small group sewing and as always it's fun. Dee made two beautiful pillow cases. I quilted this top yesterday. And bound it today.

Margaret quilted this one and I applied the binding during our QOV sew in.

Kathy turned in a top for quilting which I did today. I will show it after she sees it.

Lots of progress...

Saying Goodbye

I have been working on this client commission T shirt quilt for the last few months. I really stretched my abilities doing a two sided quilt. The results were fabulous and the customer was over the moon with it. The small squares are the t shirt fronts.

These pictures were taken indoor. All the T Shirts were Carolina sorority. Alley asked for pink and green, the colors of her wedding.

Getting creative with the label on the female side.

Chris wanted Gamecock colors.

I love taking memories to the next level.

On the frame today

Blogger is not cooperating today so I will just let it go...

Cuteness alert - here is 'Meastro looking so pretty.  As you can see when I move, my seat is immediately taken.  She is such a loving cat!
This is what's quilting.  My split nine patch top.  I believe I will finish it tomorrow as I am tired.

These are my blocks and four patches for the Temecula Quilt Co Christmas mini Mystery.  They finish at 2 inches.  Cute!

QOV Friday

Our QOV group had been postponed to November 1 and only a few showed up.  So had a cup of tea, chatted then went home.  I put this top on the machine and away I went.

Judy T pieced this front and back.

Hope you are stitching something fun!

Catch Up Post

This our class group picture at the 2013 QSC Retreat weekend. Not pictured is Anita Bowen our wonderful instructor. We had loads of fun!

Back to the mountains, my last day of fishing was a very good one.

The bottle is there for scale.

Yesterday Liz and I went to Gaffney Outlet stores for a day of shopping. We had to go back to the car numerous times to drop our bags.

The bathroom floor.... Looks like a quilt pattern to me.
