Finish It Up Friday

I finished the quilting on the QOV that I started last weekend.

On Railroad Crossing I've finished the long sides borders. One had to be ripped off and re sewn because I didn't like the way it looked.

Beautiful now.

And selected fabrics for another Benjamin Biggs blocks so I would have something to stitch in the evenings.

Hope you had a chance to stitch today.

Grand Illusion In Progress

My Grand Illusion is in pieces and some blocks. Here I made these blocks without the green, light and black. I like the secondary star that appears.

How about that "cheddar"? Love it.

Check out other Grand Illusion quilters to see their progress here.

I finished the appliquéd hearts and sewed on the last border for the Mourning OMG quilt. yay I met my own deadline. Today would have been Johns 40th birthday. Happy Birthday John. I know you are at peace with the world as I am with you.

Slow Stitching Sunday

This is what I will be stitching later as I watch the football play offs. I only need seven more to make the last border on my OMG Mourning Quilt.

Here is the picture of the three sides already joined.

See what others are stitching here.

Railroad Crossing Progress

I have busy on many quilt tops. Progress continues on railroad crossing. I have the skinny border attached, the white and black border attached. And best of all two final borders of the cut off pieces that were sewn together using a dark strip between two triangles.

I did finally start making my Grand Illusion blocks. They are now on the design wall. More on that later...

One More Border

I only need to appliqué enough hearts for another long side. I should be able to stitch these in a few nights. I'm loving how this top is progressing.

Close up of how I incorporated the corners.

Off The Design Wall ...

And onto the floor means .... I'm sewing it into a flimsy. Of course the minute the blocks hit the floor the cats are there ready for action 🐯.

I see that my ironing board needs recovering. No excuses as I have everything I need to do it.

Come on Maestro show me what you have lol!
