Neutral Strings

I have been sewing up my neutral strings as they were busting out of the bag.  I was sick of looking at them.  Messy!  So I took charge and sewed them up.  The bag is 80% reduced.  There is another bag but I'm not going to tackle it yet.

Here they are, all trimmed and pretty.  That is a lot of fabric that will be used.  The count is 40 8.5 inch blocks.  Yay.

For the big surprise, I am hand quilting my mini pin wheel quilt.  My first and not too bad.  It is not yet finished.  The pin wheel blocks need quilting.

My lines aren't exactly straight but that's ok.  The process is soothing.

  2. Oh, my! I am staggered by the string blocks--because I don't enjoy piecing string blocks, the thought of doing all those makes me want to give you an award for perseverance.
Your quilting on the mini looks fabulous. I am loving that little piece. : )

  3. My neutral strings tub is also overflowing - I looked at it just this morning and thought that I should pull them out for some mindless production style stitching. Your blocks look delicious!
