Top Of The Week

The back, a really pretty fabric.  Quilted with a peridot color thread.
For the quilting, I mixed one row of swirls and a row of feathers.

A New Project and a Baby Quilt

One day this week I came home from work early and decided to sew.  I had the strongest urge to sew a red white and blue quilt.  This is what I came up with.

The polka dots really make it sweet.

And the baby quilt is for a special friend at work.  I quilted up the pink coins top and have stitched down the binding.

The back has a inserted butterfly fabric.

The quilting is my tongue swirl pattern. I needed a fairly dense pattern with all those small pieces of fabric.

Top of the Week

The top of the week is a tumbler one.  I added the black fabric so it would be rectangular.

I quilted it with a different theme for every row

I know that this quilt will give great comfort to someone in need.

More sewing tomorrow.

Creating....

Yesterday I finished the baby for P.

I love how it turned out.

I've had this bags of pink coins begging to be sewn.  Well they screamed loud enough this morning.

So I turned them into a work of art.  I took an unusual African fabric and paired it with the pink coins.

Love it!  It will become a baby quilt for a friend.

Hope you have fed your soul with needle and thread today?

Top of the week

In an effort to reduce the pile of tops, I will be quilting one every week.  This weeks top was a simple bunch of squares.  This will definitely be donated to my guild.

The binding is sewn to the front.

The hand stitching is halfway done on this one.  I quilted it last weekend.

A cute picture of the kitties snoozing.

Some Updates

I bound the civil fabric quilt and have been stitching the binding to the back.  I should note that these blocks were all orphans begging for a home.

I used a baptist fan pattern for the quilting.
I pulled another top from the love stack and quilted it. Nice gentle stipple.
