It's quilted and binding made

this quilt is a labor of LOVE!  The colors are brighter than the picture.

I have been saving (hoarding) these Jane Sassman fabrics for a long time.  They are fabulous!

Weekend Update

I made a good bit of progress yesterday...  This quilt came from the orphan bin.  It will be donated as a love quilt.  Someone will love it.

For today's progress, I made some black petals which are so cute. The stain glass version three is being quilted. This will take a while.

A Few More Bear Paws and ....

I managed to get three more blocks done yesterday afternoon.  Each blocks seems to have its own personality.

I've had a idea rumbling around in my brain as a way to use more string blocks. I ordered a Fons and Porter melon template. Yesterday I took the plunge and I just love it.

Bear Paw Sneak

Here a sneak peak of putting the rows together.  They need the connector blocks between the rows.

Lucy is inspecting all the fabrics.

Bear Paw Block Update

I made some more bear paw blocks.  To date I have 28 blocks and I'm thinking that I need to make 7 more for a 5 X 7 top.  So I'll crank out 7 more blocks.  I've pulled black and white print fabrics for the  connecting strips.  I will use black corner pieces.

Love all the scrappy fabrics.

The last border is on.

The last border on on my stain glass string top.  I took some creative liberties with the corners where the small blocks meet.

Playing with orphans

I continued the orphan effort today and made a top.

Maestro was my quilt inspector.

I was asked about all my appliqué blocks. So here they are: '

Feeling Creative

The orphan block basket is way over flowing.  So I took a few hours and created a love top.  Anything goes and it's beautiful.

I worked on the stain glass top getting two out of three borders attached.
