Weekend Update

Last weekend I assembled a orphan block top but did not post it. So here it is.

My new scrap project is mini rails that finish at three inches.  I have been gathering lots of scraps and  cutting to one and a half inch through my GO.  Makes quick cutting.  I will need a bazillion for a top but that's ok.  My scraps never seem to get total under control.

  1. Hello from a new reader and Follower. I love scrappy blocks and quilts and should put my orphan blocks to use too. Good idea.

  2. What a sweet little quilt! My scraps are out of control! I would love to dedicate an entire year to just using scraps just to see how many quilts are hiding in those bins! LOL!!!

  3. Simple blocks like rail fence are wonderful! It would be a good leader/ender project too and I have tons of 1 1/2" strips. Maybe a doll quilt using 1" strips?

Are you making a full bed quilt with those little blocks? I am loving the block size. : )
