Life has a way of doing that…February took me on a trip to Panama which was fabulous. One of the highlights was seeing the Panama Canal in operation. We stayed in a eco lodge where everything was taken care of. So cool. Three weeks later and I was traveling to St John in the Virgin Islands. It was a action packed trip. Every day we hiked and Frog Quilterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17482440499482884253noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-953799583417313317.post-34000902787611388782022-01-17T14:57:00.004-05:002022-01-17T14:57:37.654-05:00Love Quilts Abound I have been chipping away at the pile of love tops waiting on me. It’s massive! It was a leader ender project from Bonnie Hunter that really clicked. I have a sizable bag of blocks left over which may become a lap quilt. I’ll post better pictures later. 🐸Frog Quilterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17482440499482884253noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-953799583417313317.post-74772305814039561002021-11-30T18:14:00.003-05:002021-11-30T18:14:58.175-05:00Time has slipped away From me. I truly did not mean to go this long without a post. The quilt drive for the Haywood flood victims was a great success with over 124 quilts completed. I did get a little burned out but have been back in the studio finishing chemo quilts. This was a top donated from Nancy F. It was supposed to have appliquéd flowers but I just did fancy quilting. They are quilted with a medium meander stitch.I turned in a bunch Tuesday and received the last 20 tops. No clue.I have been sewing like crazy. A few of us are making quilts 40 X 60 inches for the flood victims of Haywood County NC. They were flooded out from hurricane Fred. Our plan to provide enough to give out at Christmas time. A lot of fabric has been used of which I am so glad. I need to see more progress so I will keep going.I Frog Quilterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17482440499482884253noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-953799583417313317.post-4663631689452303922021-08-10T08:55:00.001-04:002021-08-10T08:55:34.352-04:00More Updates More quilting has been happening here of late. Two kids quilts were completed and turned in.Two QOV tops quilted.I dropped off five quilts for my Quilty Hugs mission. Time seems to be just flying by this year. I am going with the flow. Here are some of my creations of late:This one was a piece that used all my large and small triangles in conjunction with a 3.5 inch square. I love it and it has already been turned in with about eight others quilts for kids Next is a top from Kitty of ALeftHandedQuilter. For a long time I wondered about not being in the moment when a quilt is given. It’s taken me 2 1/2 years to come to terms with this. In the end just knowing my quilts get to a cancer patient is enough. I have grieved over this enough. The medicine that my doctor prescribed caused me to get microscopic colitis and this was not resolved until about a month ago. I am feeling A LOT BETTER!
