Progress...

This was my top mid day Sunday. By the evening I had 2 more rows completed. I should have taken another picture. By the time I thought about it, Tinker Belle decided she would rearrange all the blocks. So I just picked them up off the floor. I only need 2 more rows and I can start sewing rows together. That's my goal today.

I have an idea for a pieced border that I think will look fabulous.

I posted here with another block from the Roseville Album Quilt.

Pet Quilts & A Love Quilt

These are the latest 5 pet quilts that were graciouly received at the the animal hospital.
The quilt on the mid arm is another for the Epworth Childrens home. A nice scrappy quilt with lots of interesting fabric.
I have been continuing make blocks for the combination churn dash and stars quilt. A new leader / ender project I have started will be fun.

New Project

I saw this pattern on this blog
and was so taken I just had to make me one. I used my go cutter for the star points. This is a fun quilt and goes really fast. I just love the secondary pattern (circles). I'm using colors for the stars that read solid with BRIGHT COLOR.
I'm planning on sewing most of today; "peaceful".

Quick Post

I think it was about time to change the picture header. It's not Christmas anymore. This one should be ok for awhile. The doll, Sassy, a frog friend and of course Sassy's quilt. I made the doll at the fall retreat last year. FUN!

I can't leave you without some eye candy...This is a love quilt I had fun with. Each block spoke and told me what quilting to do. I really enjoyed this one.

I put borders on a big love top for Epworth Childrens home. It's now ready to be quilted but I am working on something new.

More later. I am enjoying the sunshine outside. Aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Making Progress, Cleaning Up,

Last weekends quilting efforts. This is a twin size that will go to Epworth Childrens Home. I used a daisy type panto. It was nice as I could get 3 - 4 rows before having to advance the quilt.

I hope to have 2 quilts to turn in. This only put a little dent in my bag of leader ender 4 patches. I'll probably do another. I will construct it differently. Diagaonally.

Piles - All the various piles of blocks laying around turned themselves into 4 pet quilts for the animal hospital in town. 2 are quilted and two are just tops. They go together fast and there are NO RULES - JUST SEW!

I received the sweetest thank you card from the animal hospital the other day. It's nice to know your efforts are appreciated.

More to come.

Baby Quilts

Last weekend and the 2 snow days we had off from work produced many quilts. Both of these are quilted bound and are ready for labels. A co-worker is having his second child - a boy so.................. I missed the shower for his first child a girl.... I created the yellow - purple four patch quilt. It has a scrappy purple binding. I'll post completed pictures shortly.

I did manage to quilt 2 other large twin size scrappy quilts as well. The fabric was just a flying!

I have a long weekend so I will be using it to my advantage. My machines will be just a hummin.

Quilts Beyond Borders and Another scrappy one

While I was in Houston last year I picked up a few kits for Quilts Beyond Borders These quilts go to HIV orpans in Ethiopia.

I put the red one together while I was at Houston. (I needed a sewing fix on the machine). They are now finished and ready to be shipped. I added the cute kitties as it was too plain and needed a little focus.

This top to the right is one that was started and stayed in the brewing stage for a couple weeks. The top is finished and will be donated as a Love Quilt. I just love all the great colors. Still have lots of scraps to sew up.
I don't need much of an excuse to sew. Look for more tops completed this weekend.
