New project

I have been trying to use up some scraps (a loosing battle). The pile is gone. Using triangle paper, I've been sewing half square units that will finish at 2 inches. The ear trimming and paper removal is in process. Not too sure what pattern I will do. I have used one pack plus quite a few from a second pack. That's a lot of half square triangles.

Chain of Events

I promised this Eye Fooler pattern quite awhile ago. A fellow quilter sent this picture to me after I had finished mine.   Don't know if it is available anymore.

I'll do another post later today.

Progress on projects

I quilted my eye fooler quilt this past weekend. I used a panto Bountiful Feathers in dusty pink perma core thread. Sew Fine thread in the bobbin. It took all day and turned out gorgeous. I loved making this quilt so much that I am considering another.

Here is a QSC quilt for kids. I used two panels and let the top tell me the next step.

Stitching and baking

I started my bread making early this morning and by golly I think I've figured it out. This is the best batch so far. It's even crunchy on top. YUM! One loaf is half gone. Does anyone know where I can get taller loaf pans?

On to the stitching... This is not the best picture. This the eye fooler top I did a few months ago. Time to get this baby finished.

I quilted up a QSC quilt for kids yesterday with a different free hand pattern I had never tried before. It came out very well.

And for the kitty lovers, here are my boys all snugly in bed on a rainy day.

Scrappy Trip #1

Remember all those blocks I assembled in St Louis MO? This is flimsy number one.

Playing with X blocks

I've been playing with a set of rulers called X blocks. You make a nine patch and then place the ruler angled on the nine patch and trim.

What you get is a awesome design. These next blocks finish at four inches. I haven't sewn them together yet.

This top is the result of playing with the 7 1/2 inch blocks. You use four different fabrics. I like the wild result. The border uses some of the trimmings from the main blocks.

A doll quilt for my grand daughters new doll.

Hope you are having fun stitching.
