North Carolina. Active quilter and long armer. If it’s scrappy I love it!

Tulips are blooming

And are SO BEAUTIFUL!  This top makes me so happy with the scrappy blocks.  I will ponder the border now.  Any suggestions?

Oh No, I’m Out of Tulips

And this top is only about 2/3 done.  I absolutely love this top. It is such a riot of color, yum!

More Tulips and MAM Blocks

I have been steadily making my tulip blocks.  I do know that there are a few with leaf petals turned the wrong way.  I think they will, stay like that.  They are good for me now and in between I make MAM mile a minute scrap blocks.  This drawer is so full, I think it is time to make some quilts with these blocks.  I know there is a king size I am making for son and DIL.  That was supposed to be for Christmas last year, oops.  I like having blocks available for when I need a quick quilt.

In one of my scrap bags there was some light blue ticking/upholstery fabric.  I wrapped my first wool mat and it looks so much better.  I also wrapped the new one I bought so it wouldn't get nasty.  Has anyone tried to wash them?

Enjoy🐸

Hexies and more

The weather here in North Carolina has been beautiful and better now that the temperatures are lower. I have my house open and fans running.  The kitties sure do like it.  I had screens installed in the main area and it's a constant battle to see who gets by the screen door.

I have started a new hexi project.  So far so good.

I have started a tulip garden.  Yes I know one block has a lead turned the wrong way.

Speaking of beautiful my yard is fabulous with something blooming all the time.
