Rain Means Lot of Stitching

It has been raining since last night. For me that means I am in stitching heaven. On Saturday and Sunday I stitched this small quilt. I've had the idea in my head for months. I'll probably put a small border on it and call it finished. some little girl will love it! I stitched it on my feather weight.

Monday fishing was not good, too many leaves in the water. So I came back to the camper with a empty stringer. And today it's raining cats and dogs.

In the mean time I've been stitching on my Benjamine Bigs quilt. This is block seven and I'm still loving it. I have made more progress on the border sashing.

Look like dog bones lol.

Hope you are stitching something...

Mountain update

I tried to post this yesterday via my IPhone and limited internet. All I got were errors...

Here is my catch from Sunday, 5 beautiful rainbow trout. Fishing has been hard this year. To top it all off, I fell in and got water in my waders all the way down to my feet. I decided then that the days fishing was over.

The fish fry is Friday but I'll be going to a quilt retreat this weekend.

Got my limit!

Mr FQ and I are here in the mountains of NC. The days are hot and the evenings are cool.

I went fishing yesterday around 3pm and by 5pm I had my limit of 10 nice trout. YUM!

I'm sitting here this morning beside a nice fire Mr FQ had built and a good cup of coffee.

So relaxing here.

On the quilty side of things, I finished binding my Downy quilt and got one side of the spider web quilt sewn down.

I'm off to a Arts and Crafts Show in Waynesville this morning.
