Bear Paw Flimsy

I finished my bear paw today. Many decisions were made and then changed, ripped and resewn. I'm happy with it overall.  Maestro is getting close to check out all the different fabrics. Lucy is doing her job in the last few pictures. Good girls
Each block has its own character.

A Few More Bear Paws and ....

I managed to get three more blocks done yesterday afternoon.  Each blocks seems to have its own personality.

I've had a idea rumbling around in my brain as a way to use more string blocks. I ordered a Fons and Porter melon template. Yesterday I took the plunge and I just love it.

Bear Paw Sneak

Here a sneak peak of putting the rows together.  They need the connector blocks between the rows.

Bear Paw Block Update

I made some more bear paw blocks.  To date I have 28 blocks and I'm thinking that I need to make 7 more for a 5 X 7 top.  So I'll crank out 7 more blocks.  I've pulled black and white print fabrics for the  connecting strips.  I will use black corner pieces.

Love all the scrappy fabrics.

Now there are eight

I made a few more blocks this afternoon and evening.  Lots of scrappy fabrics.

More tomorrow.

Then there were five

I've been working on my bear paw blocks and enjoying it.

Can you see my error in the bottom corners.  I'll have to redo them ugh.  This was the one I rushed to finish before supper last night.

In other news a storm took out my stove.  We had the repair guy come look at it and it is not worth it to fix.  Off to the store I go and nobody makes bisc colored appliances any more.  To top it off they are phasing out white.  So here we go back to miscolored appliances.  I ended up getting a stainless stove with a convection oven and aqua cleaning.  This is where you place a few cups of water in the bottom of oven and go.  They say all you need to do is wipe the inside down afterwards.  The regular self cleaning ovens only smoked up my house...  So bottom line is that I don't have to worry about cleaning the oven.  Yay!

Stay cool.  I'll be here stitching to my hearts content.
