Last Orphan Top

I finished the border on this top in the wee hours of the night.  These steroids are keeping me so awake.  I make the best use of my time by sewing "more".  🐸🐸🐸🐸

Home Sweet Home

We landed last night right before midnight. A friend picked up hubs and I from the airport and it was so nice to not have to haul all our luggage to the parking lot and drive home.

All kitties were fine and so glad to see us. They even let us sleep last night. This can be a issue at times.

This is the appliqué block that I prepped before coming home. I was going to stitch on it tonight but I'm sooooo tired and the bed is begging me to come back.



Back to work tomorrow. Yay!

Frog Quilter

A Sneak Peek

Here is a sneak peek of my grandsons quilt.  It's not finished yet but close.  I want it to be small enough so he can drag it around.  Mason is due in June.  I have added one border since this picture was taken and am debating on one more.  There is a mixture of everything in this top.

 The kitties are a year plus old now.  Remember they adopted us last year.  They are family, keep us busy and provide lots of entertainment.

QOV and Growing Kitty

Kathy is a new quilter and has finished her first quilt. I quilted it with a digital panto. She did a fabulous job!!! I think we have a confirmed new quilter!

Mr Tale is getting so big. Everyday new whiskers are growing on different parts of his body. He is quite the affectionate cat, quite different from when we first met. He wouldn't even let me hold him. But he saw the other two kitties getting belly rubs and enjoying it. I guess I became ok from then on.

Strip Smart - Flimsy

The frog, rock and dragon fly spark plug. I have this on my desk at work. The dragon fly is really cute with the frog on a giant lily pad.



The kitties in the bed at treat time. They are jockeying for position, even though they are all treated fairly.

and last but not least the strip quilt. A flimsy finally. Now that it's off the floor I can vacuum up all the threads and bits.

Strings and things

This week I have been working on reducing the string bucket. I use a big kitty litter bucket and it holds a lot. Of course the kitties think it's play time with the scraps all over the floor. I have a good size pile of wonky log cabin blocks. I'll show them in the next post.

My rowenta iron died last night in the middle of sewing..............What's a girl to do? Can't be without a iron.... So I dug around in the closet and pulled out my other rowenta steam generating system. I had put it in the closet because it had started leaking. Well so far so good. But in the mean time I have a friend at the Knoxville Quilt Show who is bringing me a iron and some other goodies. Aren't friends wonderful.
