Weekend Update

I had a bag of scraps that I was tired of looking at so I did something about it. I turned them into MAM blocks. All 55 blocks.  Now all that's remaining are short scraps that will become coins.

A batch of Carolina chain blocks.  A Bonnie Hunter design.  I have at least one more bag of carolina chain blocks to sew into a top.

A donated top from a member of High Country Quilters NC. This will be sent to Heart Builders for their November quilt drive.

High Country Quilters Work Shop NC

Friday was a great day in the mountains of North Carolina. The students really surprised me with their creativity. We all had such a good time as you will see in the photos.

This lady brought projects from the stain glass string workshop that I taught last year. She did an excellent job!!!

On Wednesday I taught my stain glass string workshop to a great group of ladies. They worked really hard and surprised me with their creativity once unleashed.

Quilty Hugs

These two quilts were given to chemo patients yesterday. The recipients were surprised and had BIG SMILES after receiving them. What a joy!

Busy

Friday evening I quilted my chisel top.  I quilted a medium meander using a light tan thread.

Saturday I did not even pick up a needle and thread.  I was busy cleaning the front porch.  It was so dirty.  I have a eight foot section left to do but that is for another day.  Other tasks like carrying off the trash and recycling to the dump.  Also grocery shopping.  It was after nine last night by the time I quit.

This morning I quilted a donated top from A left Hand Quilter. Thank you so very much.  I quilted funky baptist fans.

Both of these quilts will go to chemo patients this week as part of my quilty hugs program.

I finally finished my talking turkey blocks. A Bonnie Hunter design. Now to ponder how to set them. I'm thinking with sashing and corner stones.

Heart Builders Top

This morning I quilted a heart builders top I received recently.  It's very bright and colorful.  I kept the quilting simple this time.

Chisels and Love

Hubby finished the second round of eight in this set of chemo.  You know what that means?  Yep time to give a few quilts.  The first two I didn't take pictures.  I don't know where my brain was...

The chisels quilts will look similar to this one, with different inset fabrics.  It will surely brighten up the room and the person receiving it.  🐸🐸🐸

I did find a picture of the unbound quilt so you get the idea.
