North Carolina. Active quilter and long armer. If it’s scrappy I love it!

Stitching

It's been a while since I posted but rest assured that I have been stitching.

I saw this eye fooler block on someones blog (can't remember whose) and had to try it. I didn't have a pattern. The blocks in the block are 4.5 unfinished. I figured out all the pieces and sizes. I like it alot and can tell these blocks will be addictive. Needless to say I will be making more for a quilt top.

Next up I found a bag of 7.5 X 2 inch strips. I added some cut up white on white strips. Added sashing and borders and now it's a top. This will make someone a nice comfy lap quilt. It will go in the top bin ready for quilting.

And last but not least here are all my flower garden blocks. I have been working on these in the evenings. A little progress most every night really adds up.

Keeping Busy...

So I created another top using different 2.5 X 4.5 green rectangles and a white print. Not sure if I will put a border on this one.

Out of hibernation came my hexie project. It has't seen the light day in months. I am taking a break from applique and need to have my hands busy in the evenings. We'll see how long I stick with the hexies this time.

For all you cat lovers, a sweet picture of Sebastian snoozing.
