Another quilted

I quilted this yesterday while digging out the next piles of blocks and fabrics.  I’m thinking a medallion type quilt to start.  I’ll let my brain explore the possibilities and see where it goes.

The geranium plant is one that survived the winter indoors and now is blooming pretty flowers.  Enjoy!

QOV Finish (almost)

First let me thank everyone who commented on the loss of Sebastian. All your comments were very comforting to hear.  The other cats and I are adjusting.

Yesterday I managed to get a top quilted.  A QOV quilt.  Maestro gave it her approval.

I will hand stitch the binding in the evenings.

Friday Flimsy

I have finally made a top of these  blocks.  They were on the design wall for way too long. I was sick of seeing them...  Ever have this issue?

Quilty Hug Flimsy

The rest of those strips were made into four patches and the into 16 patches.

I didn’t have enough for a top only using them, so I cut up some 8inch squares.  Dang didn’t have enough. Well what if the green blocks go on the outside and another color on the inside.  Perfect and add a little border and here’s a quilt top ready to be quilted.

I have quite a few tops that need quilting but I have not felt the best in the last few weeks.  Maybe the doctor can diagnose my issue.

Sebastian

Sebastian, my loving lap kitty for many years developed cancer in his upper jaw and nasal cavity.  I made the decision to let him go.  I was not prepared for this but did the best I could.  I loved him so much!

Fabulous Friday Flimsy

I am so glad to get this project to the flimsy stage.  I plan to add a skinny red border and then a wider blue border.  This quilt will be donated to QOV.

Keeping Busy

As promised here is the layout of the Edyta Sitar Mystery quilt I am doing.  Her directions are spot on.  I am so enjoying this quilt top.  You build the top outside in.

And Sebastian enjoying the hot wood stove.

Keeping Busy

I have been keeping busy.  Sometimes it’s hard to be focused.

Spring here in NC is beautiful this year.  Crisp blue skies and a multitude of blooming plants bring pleasurable sights.

The remainder of those strips I was taming the other day have been sewn.  I made another quilt top.  I just need to add a small border and it will be ready for quilting.

This was quilted recently.

I have started a mystery quilt after I saw the reveal.  It’s the Edyta Sitar and I am doing it in patriotic color with a fat quarter selection of Moda Postal fabric.  I will post my project after I finish my star blocks.

Two Flimsies Complete

I completed my Temecula Treasure Hunt top. So glad to have it the top stage.

And on the scrap string produced this top.  There is another batch which will make a similar top.
