MAM Blocks

MAM blocks (mile a minute) using scraps that are building up.  The rest of the bag will go to classes for students to use on their projects.

I have 50 8.5 inch blocks constructed.  That could be two quilts depending on the sashing etc.

This is how I end up with bags of blocks...

Weekend Update

I had a bag of scraps that I was tired of looking at so I did something about it. I turned them into MAM blocks. All 55 blocks.  Now all that's remaining are short scraps that will become coins.

A batch of Carolina chain blocks.  A Bonnie Hunter design.  I have at least one more bag of carolina chain blocks to sew into a top.

A donated top from a member of High Country Quilters NC. This will be sent to Heart Builders for their November quilt drive.  

MAM Blocks

Lately I have been trying to tame a big bag of scraps.  It's 80% reduced now and I have put it away as I am ready for something different.

The are 82 blocks here.  

The master bathroom is being remodeled and all the the stuff that was stored there has been dragged out.  I'm in the process of going through the multitude of bags of blocks.  Does anyone else have this issue?

Anyway I found 75 more MAM blocks so I have enough for at least two quilts.  Lots of labels were made and one batik quilt in progress was taken out for finishing with the possibility of another small one being made from the additional blocks.

Time to get up and start something...
