Temecula Tiny Tree

I have finished my Temecula Tiny Tree. All I need is a label. My embroidery machine is on the fritz so there might be a new one in progress. I stitched in the ditch all the blocks. I did angled lines on the sides of the tree. Overall I am very happy with the results.

Moving Along

I put the last rows on my Circa 1880s sew along top. Now it is time to decide on borders. This quilt is for my queen size bed and meant to be light and bright. It took me forever to get to this point as I couldn’t get any more of the neutral fabric. I used the new fabric for the last rounds on each side.
I have a love quilt finished and hope to complete the other four of five soon.
Last but not least Santa brought me a fabulous cheesecake from Juniors in Brooklyn. I’m in heaven eating this!

I pushed myself yesterday to complete this top. Now to get it quilted so it can be enjoyed this year. I will add it to my small collection of Christmas quilts.

Temecula quilt

https://temeculaquiltco.blogspot.com has had a few quilt alongs this past year. Most recently was tiny Christmas Tree. Mine is now a flimsy. So cute.

This one is a love quilt for a child.

The other Temecula Christmas quilt along was these churn dashes.  I plan on adding the borders so it can be moved off the design wall.

Activity in the studio

I sew most everyday and I have accomplished quite a bit.  I didn’t receive any QOV’s to finish this month so I am finishing a few of mine that have been patiently waiting.

The next two pictures are Christmas quilt alongs from http://temeculaquiltco.blogspot.com/

This picture shows the tiny blocks for a little Christmas tree.  I haven’t got to the next block which is a bow tie.

QOV Quilting

I had a lot of fun quilting this QOV the last two days. A mix of digital quilting and hand guided. So fun!

Progress

I have been steadily busy every day sewing.  For my sons new quilt I rented machine time as my table was not big enough.  The quilt is a king size.  The backing is a Finding Dory fabric and I think he will get a kick out of it.  There are plenty of sharks.

The next two pictures are of love quilts made from blocks that someone put on the free table at quilt quilt.  Fast and fun and some child will love them.

Dashing through the Snow

Here is my progress on Dashing through the Snow quilt top.  How is it that I have a double design wall but I still use the floor?  Maybe old habits are hard to break....

I don’t know how big I will make this quilt.  It will be at least lap size.

Lucy snoozing next to me.

A Love quilt for donating.

Interwoven I and others

I have been busy here in my mountain home. Recently I quilted Interwoven I made by Kitty from A Left Handed Quilter.  I used flannel for the backing to make it extra cost.

Here is the container holding all my MAM blocks.  I don’t think I will run out in the near future.

A Quilty Hug

I made a Quilty Hug and sent to a friend who had undergone some heart surgery and also has thyroid cancer. I hope this quilt comforts her as she recovers. I have hundreds of MAM mile a minute quilt blocks. This quilt and a king size did not even make a dent in the pile. Blogger chose the picture order, ugh.

Those ginormous blocks are part of a retaining wall being built to handle sediment run off.

Just for fun...

Today just for fun I put a small top on the machine and proceeded to have a ball. This will make a nice child’s cuddle quilt. It started with the top and all the border blocks. I put it together and ahhhhhhhh having fun quilting her.

A fabulous finish

This is a client quilt done using HQ pro stitcher. I did this top during my lesson. I love it and so did the client. It is to be raffled off.

Progress...

I have my long arm back from the spa and she is purring pretty.  I am trying to get caught up.

This Christmas quilt started out as Christmas blocks on the free table at a guild.  I added to it and will donate as a love quilt.

A QOV and I think it is the last one from SC.

This top has been around a long time. Time for it to go as a quilty hug. I know that someone will get comfort from it.

Freebies

At guild the other day I picked some blocks in a bag off the free table.  I squared them up and put them together.  It will make a nice child’s quilt.

And Temecula has a Christmas churn dash that is adorable.  I made a few blocks today.  They are 3.5 unfinished.  I did the Christmas sew along a few years ago and loved it.

Blogger arranged my pictures wrong.
