Blog Break

As you read this I am in Belize for a nine day vacation.  There will be hiking, walking, and various water sports to enjoy.  South America is a beautiful place.

On the home front I adopted a black kitty before my Blackie went to heaven. Her name is Ebony and she is very sweet.  She has acclimated herself after about a month of living under my bed.

An Update

I’ve steadily been working projects. I have started Lori Holt Vintage Farm Girl quilt in the six inch block size.

The Temecula quilt along using the book for when the clues are given.  Of course I am behind.

I have also started a granny square QOV in red, white and blue.

I also quilted a love quilt this afternoon.

Blogger chose the photo arrangement.

Fun Custom Quilting

Thank you to all who responded with kind words regarding the passing of Blackie my senior kitty of 23 years.  We are all still adjusting especially the other kitties.  In time they will be ok.

As many of you know, I make and give away quilts to persons under going chemo treatment.  I started this when my husband was undergoing his chemo treatment. I continued this practice after his passing in 2018.

A Left Handed Quilter (blogger) here  sent many quilt tops as donations for my chemo mission.  As such I wanted to do something nice for her.  I agreed to custom quilt one of her tops.  These are my pictures after quilting. My favorite block is the one with the bird.  Enjoy and know that she is over the moon with quilting finished.

A Sad Day

I loved my black cat so much.  Rescued from the vet, he chose me.  He was a special feline, very vocal.  He could be a nag and had something to say about everything and nothing at all.  He was 23 years old, a record for a cat.

He had a massive stroke sometime Friday night or early in the morning.  He could not stand or walk.  I did what I knew was right.  He passed peacefully in my arms with a new mission.  I asked him to find Buck and tell him I love him and missed him. He will be missed.
