Orphan Quilt top #4 and more

Number four told me to make a small runner for my kitchen table.

This is as far as I got today on the next top.  Still lots of blocks to use up.

And A left hand Quilter started playing with Bento Box blocks and I just had to join in...

It didn’t take long to make a few blocks.  Mine are two inch strips.  They are so much fun to make.

Orphan Quilt Block #3 the top

I worked on this today.  I completed the white area so they would be complete. Then I was on to the in between red spike blocks.  I thought small four patches would work.  Lo and behold I had a bag of a suitable color and went to sewing them.

This where I left off yesterday.

The finished top.

I keep ready to sew four patches by my machines.

After being sewn and trimmed they go here in this container.

Sewn four patches are tossed here waiting for pressing and trimming.

Orphan Block Quilt #3 (partial)

This is today’s effort.  I drove to get one of my machines from the spa.  It’s an hour each way so my sewing time was cut short and my back was acting up.

I’m not quite sure what I am going to do to finish.  I think I want to complete those white areas.  I can show off some free motion quilting in them.  Tomorrow’s is new day!

Hope you have taken time today to feed your sewing addition.

On To Another Love Quilt and ...

I gathered my 8.5 inch blocks and assembled it. Right now I am auditioning border fabrics. I think I am going to use the brown with aqua polka dots.

I got my templates for the pickle dish and could not wait to play.

Happily Scrapily

I am on orphan control lately.  I took all of my scrap four patch blocks (I thought it was all of them) and added some wild sashing.  The picture doesn't show how fabulous it is.  Wow, makes me smile.

After I assembled this top I gathered all my orphans and..... Lots of them.  So it was time to get organized by size.  So they were sorted and bagged by size.  Now I can concentrate on getting them used up.

Maestro is making sure I do it correctly.

Weekend Progress

Here is my progress from this weekend.  The quilt top is a orphan top with the addition of black strips.  Like most of my quilt tops it took a different direction than what I had envisioned.

The rag rug I have been working on for a couple of weeks.  It goes fast and uses a ton of strings.  I am already thinking about the next one...  Enjoy!
