WIPS

Have you ever looked around and seen multiple pile of projects that only need a little work to get them to the flimsy stage?  How did I get so many?

There are quite a few that will move to the ready to be quilted hanger.  I added some scrappy blocks around this one.

My tulip garden is growing slowly.

I now have a double design wall and love it.

I have designed a fall couch cover/quilt. Think candy corn and beautiful leaf colors.

Turkey tracks in red, pattern by Bonnie Hunter.

My hexi quilt that only needs the last border sewn on.

Maestro getting some lap time which I enjoy. There is nothing like a warm kitty on your lap to relax you!

Assembly of quilt tops

I have been assembling tops lately. The hexi blocks are all together now.  I have an idea of a border treatment that involves more hexi blocks using up all those odd pieces of warm brown fabric.

It was time to put together the circa 1880 blocks as I had to order additional fabric for the plain blocks.  No excuse now!  I decided to complete mine with a light fabric versus a tan fabric.  I wanted a light airy quilt.  There are many more blocks and this is for a queen sized bed.  So far I love it.

Borders

I got borders attached on two tops yesterday.  Each top got a pressing with starch and hung on the to be quilted rack.  I seriously need to quilt some as it is SO FULL!  I am slowly catching up.

Those are cows in the border below.  Fun!

Next Steps with Hexi Blocks

I am closing in on having enough blocks for my hexi flowers.  I have started to trim them all to 7.25 and make a four patch the same size. I am loving how this is turning out.  The colors are truer in the first photo.  It seems very soothing and just as I pictured in my mind.
