North Carolina. Active quilter and long armer. If it’s scrappy I love it!

Operation Kid Comfort

Is a program where you receive everything you need to make a cute small quilt for a child whose parent is deployed. All the fabrics, pictures printed on fabric, backing, batting is included. You just need to assemble and finish. Honestly it didn't take me very long to complete the quilt. I would definitely do it again.  Maestro made sure it was done correctly.

For more information contact Danielle at diacono@asymca.org

And the scraps have been accumulating so it was time to make some pet beds.

Weekend Update

I had two bags of scrap fiber and made two pet beds.  I used two blocks that are stars.  I wasn't crazy over either block so I bordered them to make them larger.  The animals at the hospital won't mind the crazy fabrics.  My cats have already tested them.  I believe they approve!

And some more Dear Jane blocks.  My blocks are not perfect, just as Janes were not. I modify blocks to suit my style (or fix to cover my screw ups).

Hope you found some time to stitch today.
