QOV Friday

Sorry about the late post but my son and friend decided to come visit for the weekend. We've been having lots of fun. We visited the zoo yesterday and walked miles.

Our monthly group met on Friday and we had such a fun time.

Here Kathy is proudly showing her first quilt. Her husband is a veteran and has requested this quilt. Sweet!

QOV and Growing Kitty

Kathy is a new quilter and has finished her first quilt. I quilted it with a digital panto. She did a fabulous job!!! I think we have a confirmed new quilter!



Lots of yummy texture!


Mr Tale is getting so big. Everyday new whiskers are growing on different parts of his body. He is quite the affectionate cat, quite different from when we first met. He wouldn't even let me hold him. But he saw the other two kitties getting belly rubs and enjoying it. I guess I became ok from then on.

The individual blocks are two inches finished.

Sewing strings, making fabric

Yesterday I wanted to sew but no stress sewing. I've had this bag of strings, dark in color, so sew, sew sew.



After sewing, I spray starch them for stability.


Then cut to the size desired. I wanted 4.5 inch blocks. Cut, cut cut!


The big hunk can be used in another block.


I netted 72 4.5 inch blocks that I will use in star blocks or house blocks or any other pattern that calls for 4.5 inch blocks.
