Making a mess

And loving it. Working on crumbs and strings with green as a main color. I didn't even make a dent. How does that happen?

This past weekend was our state quilt guild meeting held this year in Anderson SC. Denise and I always make it a girls weekend. It's always fun!

And yes I cleaned up my mess before checking out.

Saturday Finish QOV

I started this quilt Friday evening and worked on it till 11:30pm. I finished it up today. Lots of texture in a pattern I call tongues in a circle.

There is one more bag with top, back and batting. Sure would be nice to get that one done tomorrow but I think I need some me sewing time.

QSC spring meeting is next weekend in Anderson. It's a girls weekend and we'll be sewing and having a good time. Looking forward to it.

Another QOV

Quilted with a Simple Spiral in a neutral tan thread. Lots of yummy texture.

I started this top last Sunday and couldn't finish...too tired.

Blogger is acting strange so I'll post this as is.

Flexing my custom muscle

I started this QOV top Friday afternoon and finished it up this afternoon.

This quilt begged for a little custom quilting. With every quilt I learn a few things and this was no different. I needed a ruler to go around the stars. I was too unsteady without. I am using my rulers more and more.

Luscious feathers.

Celtic Solstice Quilted

This weekend I focused on getting Celtic Solstice quilted. I free formed feathers all over the top. It was a marathon to get it done. Halfway through I did a little gardening, clearing all the wooded flowers from last year. I also started prepping a new area for a small veggie garden.

Inside picture this morning when the light was perfect for showing all the quilting texture.

Outside in the screen porch.

With back exposed, more orange. a perfect complement to the front.

This quilt will be traveling to someone very special. I know they read the blog...

As for today I am slow stitching outside in the sunshine enjoying the warmth and blue sky.
