Blogger is being difficult so I'll show the back another day.

Broken dishes
it's a flimsy minus the corner triangles.
These broken dishes blocks were sewn into nine patch blocks and then paired with a new funky fabric.

Broken Dishes
Here is the fabric I used to set my broken dishes blocks. The colors are actually brighter than the photo shows.

Friday Sewing
I have finished assembly of the small broken dishes blocks. I am thinking about setting them on point. So I need to find a fabric that will enhance these broken dishes.
I love red and white (and cream) colored quilts, so it should be no surprise that I am doing the 150 Canadian Women quilt top. These are my blocks so far. These is a history on each woman and it's quite interesting. The directions are simple and very straight forward. We only do two or three every week. They go together so fast. I usually sew these after work for about an hour. Good for unwinding after the work day.

Sunday sewing
I can tell blogger is not going to cooperate so here I am showing how I ironed my seams open. It's tedious but it keeps the bulk under control. Skip down to see the other picture. I have as many more blocks to sew up. These are the 3.5 inch broken dishes blocks. I haven't started on the 4.5 inch blocks. Am I the only afflicted one?
This is the finished quilt from yesterday that I showed. It came out really nice. I think I will put a black binding on it.

Projects
I made this stained glass table top while teaching this class at retreat in October. I added a solid black border and quilted it one evening after work. I love the crazy texture.
I used some of my coveted Jane Sassman fabric for the back.
Last weekend I finished the log cabin flimsy. I had my doubts about it before borders. The borders seem to make it come alive and now I like it.
This top is being quilted today. I stopped to eat lunch and get my post ready.

En Provence step two
I completed my blocks for step two on Friday. I really had fun selecting neutrals for these. They make me smile.
I will be joining the Quiltville link up on Monday.
