A guys quilt

I am making an effort to use up all my home spun fabrics as they are definitely NOT my favorite. With retirement in a few months I am making a co-worker a lap quilt. We've worked together for twenty years, through thick and thin, ups and downs. So recently Bonnie Hunter had a post in Quilt Maker magazine for a paper pieced block. I saw an opportunity to make it my way and accentuate the middle friendship star. Plaids on plaids is in full swing.

    You have added a nice twist with your color placement. Good job!
    (BTW, I love plaids, but not usually homespuns. They seem to ravel far too easily.)
