Petal to the Metal
This first picture was taken inside with afternoon sun on the quilt. The others are taken outside most in bright sun and the last two in the shade.
With this quilt done, I am now confident to quilt a few others that have these petal shapes. Rulers are now my friends and I'm not afraid to use them.

Top finished and custom quilting
Yesterday I found fabric in the stash for the border on the second kite top. It an oldie but a cutie. Who doesn't like birds and pink hearts. Perfect.
This morning finds me quilting my class sample for a class I am teaching September 8. I procastenated because I was unsure of how I wanted it quilted. I found my answers from a friend D and it working out really well. I am feeling more comfortable about using rulers more now. Of course you can find some bobbles but it will be fine! Enjoy!

Tops are born
I sewed these two tops this week, one after work for two days. I will add a border on the one with strong blocks. Big surprise, I still have about twenty blocks left. So I'll dream up another version. Enjoy!

My blocks told me...
That they wanted to be set with snow ball blocks. So I listened and here is the start of that conversation.

Trim, trim and trim
Today I finished sewing and trimming my kite blocks. I had so much fun with the last batch, I had to do another with a different layout. Last time I sewed them together with the fat ends together. This time I will sew them with fat ends out. The last picture shows how I will sew these.
