QOV Friday

Another successful day of sewing with friends.

Kathy turned in her first QOV top and backing. She did a beautiful job. Joanne was helping.

Last night I was folding laundry and look who made themselves comfortable.

Late Weekend Update QOV

Last night I was just too tired to post. What a busy weekend!

I finished this QOV top and quilted it. Free hand swirls, perma core white on top and superior so fine on the back.

Sunday I put this quilt on the frame. Quilted with star spangle banner with YLI finished poly in a buttery color, so fine on the bottom.

Last but not least a block for Victoria

Pets on Quilts

pets on quilts

I am submitting in the cats on quilts category. We are a feline family and to pick one would just be too hard. So here a few pictures I know you will enjoy!

Sebastian who loves to give lap therapy after a hard day at work.

Blackie and Tinker Belle on a freshly quilted quilt.

The kitties on my bed.

A group picture on my couch. Sebastian who is a very large boy. The three kitties laying close to my spot. A quilt in progress.

This is Maestro and she likes to watch me stitch.

Winner

A couple of weeks ago
Teresa had a pattern give away to celebrate her new appliqué patterns. These are the four I patterns I selected.

I finished up this quilt last night at eleven pm. It's been on the quilt frame since last weekend. I have worked on it every night this week. It screamed custom with a sea weed theme. The outer border and back are sharks :-)

I did not use the stitch regulator at. It's all free motion!

I used a Ipad app called Skitch to test out different designs. You take a picture and then mark away until you get the look and feel you want.

Time to get my day started.

Milestone Reached

After taking a three day class with Jamie Wallen I came home and practiced on my machine WITHOUT the stitch regulator. I've graduated!
Here is a love quilt (for practice).

I used a lot of the principles taught in the class.

Today I will load a quilt and continue my quilting magic.

My new flower bed is a heaven for butterfly's, bees and humming birds. It is exactly as I imagined.

QOV and Pick a Pile Of Blocks

I quilted this QOV yesterday and in the process learned a few more things.

Many of you know that I will stitch blocks until the cows come home.... This stack was the start of another I Fooler quilt, but after making 12 blocks I decided I did not like the size. It was abandoned in that pile of blocks. I needed a boy quilt (sibling of a baby) and this fit.

I am anxious to try out some Jamie Wallen quilting techniques on this one. Like he says "it's my play time".

Stitch a few and find serenity.
