Last week I finished another love quilt. I used a square spiral pattern digital pattern. Obviously I need to work on nesting them together. But as it is, it looks good
I was asked by a good friend if I wanted to submit a entry for the Bloggers Quilt Festival? Sure! At fall retreat the teachers usually decorate their class room. The doorway had hanging beads (the kind we used in the 70s) and the sun light came streaming through. This created a "vision" of a quilt idea to Anita Bowen who was taking a class. It is a generous lap size, quilted with the pattern hanging beads. I was honored that she asked me to quilt it. I used a lime green thread. Here now is That 70's Thing.

The back is not this bright. I had to take the picture inside to show all the texture. Quilted with superior So Fine top and bottom, cotton batting. I did a free hand feather swirl.
Sebastian waiting for me to finish so he can give me some lap therapy.
I saw a picture of this top some where and had to make it. No pattern, no problem. I started with a 4.5 unfinished block. got about half way done and decided it was too big. I went to a 2.5 inch unfinished block size. I am happy with this scale. Loving the secondary curves. YUMMY!

You are on travel in Ft Worth TX and you take a city bus, then walk a mile to a quilt shop. Cabbage Rose Quilt Shop is a awesome shop that carries extensive fabric lines. You name it, they have it.
My haul...
And then walk a mile back to the bus station. So glad I went.
