Postage stamp blocks , Waves of Joy

In the past year or so I have been cutting 1.5 inch squares with the intent to create a postage stamp quilt.  I've seen a few in blog land so I started.  I have two blocks completed.

This is the quilt I am making for my grandson.  He will be going to college this fall.  I wanted him to have a quilt for his bed.

I didn't notice the hearts were turned the wrong way until I loaded the photo. I really like the way this quilt came out.

Meet Mason Riley born yesterday evening. 8 lbs 3 oz. Mom, Dad and baby are well. I'll be traveling to Charleston today after a important errand.
