Roseville Album Update

For all you applique lovers, here is an update on my two big blocks. Won't be long and they will be finished. There are still many blocks to complete but these are the biggest, aside from borders.

These quilt blocks are very satisfying. I rotate from doing animals to getting back to finishing the green tree. Next time you see these 2 blocks they will be finished.

Empty Spools Seminar, Asilomar CA

I had a wonderful time in CA except for a stomach bug. I concentrate on the positive in life not the negative. Jo Ann I felt your presence almost all the time here. Thanks for keeping me company. The creative spirits rose up all around me.

Blogger chose the order of the photos so here goes. Deer were everywhere at Asilomar and fairly tame. I never get tired of seeing wild life. It brings a smile to my face. :-)

The cat is a work in progress in another class. I knew all the cat lovers would like this. I think it's fabulous. WOW!

The class I took was Pearl Peria, hand applique techniques. Here she is with her class sample. Notice hers is not finished which I though was great. I learned a lot from her and the technique makes your edges perfect. She had not even sewn the items to the background yet. Very humbling. Next picture is my project in progress. Seems a little tame right now but don't worry the wild child in me will make this wall hanging S I N G! You know I always put my spin into everything I create.

I'll keep you updated on my progess.

A Finish and Love Quilting

The heart quilt is for a co-worker who is having a little girl in April. I experimented... using a 2 patch (each 2.5 inches) and then sewing a 4.5 inch piece of the dark fabric a heart is formed when set on point. The white fabric has hearts on it. Was a fun, fast quilt...

Second quilt is a Love Quilt for a guild. I never got lost as my new lights were wonderful.

I'll be doing more experimenting this weekend while packing for Asilomar (Empty Spools) in CA. I leave a week from today.

My New Lights

My new lights are awesome. I am grinning from ear to ear. I'll be able to do intricate stitching now, and not get lost.

I have a few applique quilt tops that need LOTS OF QUILTING. Oooooooooooooooooooooh!!!!

These can be purchased from Dave Jones at davedeloa@gmail.com I have his phone # if anyone is interested. He has an extra set on this trip so no installation cost. He heads back to Michigan on Sunday.

Happy Quilting

Eye Candy!!!

I have thoroughly enjoying creating this quilt top. I added a little more pizazz by creating the border of triangles. This top makes me smile and feel giddy :-)))).

What's next? Stay tuned.

Progress...

This was my top mid day Sunday. By the evening I had 2 more rows completed. I should have taken another picture. By the time I thought about it, Tinker Belle decided she would rearrange all the blocks. So I just picked them up off the floor. I only need 2 more rows and I can start sewing rows together. That's my goal today.

I have an idea for a pieced border that I think will look fabulous.

I posted here with another block from the Roseville Album Quilt.

Pet Quilts & A Love Quilt

These are the latest 5 pet quilts that were graciouly received at the the animal hospital.

The quilt on the mid arm is another for the Epworth Childrens home. A nice scrappy quilt with lots of interesting fabric.

I have been continuing make blocks for the combination churn dash and stars quilt. A new leader / ender project I have started will be fun.
