A Collaboration of Talents

Denise and I collaborated on this quilt.  She finished the individual blocks, assembled them together.  Hand pieced the blocks and sashing.  Amazing!  This the before picture.

And here are some after pictures.

And one outside.

I enjoyed working on this top.  Hoping the owner will enjoy our efforts.

Scrappy Stars

My Scrappy Stars is a flimsy of sorts.  I plan to put borders on it.  Got tired of looking at these blocks on the design wall and picking them up off the floor.

As for today, I have a vintage butter fly top to get quilted.  It's a joint effort between Denise and myself to get this top to completion so it can be enjoyed.

So it's time to go sew.

It's quilted

I quilted this spool top last Monday and did not post it.

My inspectors are taking their job seriously.

I can't wait to snuggle under this quilt.

Quilting

Yesterday I quilted two tops, each very different.

And up close.

Next up is a strippy that used massive amounts of batting scraps and fairly dense quilting.  Leaves, lots of leaves.

And close up.

Today I must attend to a few errands and chores around the house.  I may get to sew this afternoon.

SMILING

Thanks to those who emailed me to check to see if I was ok.  Truth is that I have been working on Liz's red, pink cream eye fooler quilt.  It's almost king size.  I have the top almost finish but had to stop as I ran out of cream fabric.  I have ordered more and I need to decide on a backing.  I have one in mind on craftsy.  Can't show you until after May when Liz sees it.

I have been also working on my SMILE quilt.  Yum!

And in the evenings I stitch bindings and or do appliqué.

There is freezer paper stuck to the oak leaf.  It will come off when I wash the block.

Until later and sew on,

Weekend Update

It's been a busy weekend here.  One day I worked on Liz's red, pink and cream eye fooler.  I have nine blocks completed.  Each block is around 20 inches.  I also have all the pieced sashing and connector blocks done.  Now I need to figure if it needs to be bigger.  Wish I could show you but Liz would peek lol.

I put together another baby quilt, quilted it, bound it and it is waiting for a label and stitching down the binding.

And the back which is flannel.

I finally got an opportunity to play with my mini eye fooler quilt.

The components of these blocks contain two inch finished pieces.  I love this pattern in batiks.  There is something about working on these that makes me smile.  The quilt has not told me how big it will be.  So until then I will happily piece and SMILE!

I hope you took time to relax and stitch this weekend.
