Learning Pro Stitcher

I have been forcing myself to learn HQ Pro Stitcher. I have mastered a multi point object like a heart and filling with different designs. It’s so cool!

I have a few more I will try to quilt using pro stitcher.  🐸

Love Quilts

I delivered many love quilt yesterday.  About half were ready for giving (washed and dried) and the other half needed binding.  There are other quilters who are able to bind.  Such a good feeling.

Blogger decided to arrange them and I am ok with that.

I quilted one yesterday and have another to quilt today, so I will be having fun in the studio after this posts.  It is a rainy Saturday, perfect for piddling around in the studio.  Have fun and stay safe!  🐸

Changes here at home

Recently my 14 year old granddaughter moved in with me.  New school and no female kids who want to physically harm her.  We moved her stuff in a week ago and are mostly settled.  I still have a few things to get out of her bedroom. I have run around crazy getting her registered for school. Only one more form to get signed and turned in, a health assessment. This is required for all students transferring from out of state.  Who knew!  She will start school doing two days a week there and three virtually.  This will last two weeks and then two weeks virtual.  After this the school board will decide the best route to take based on one Covid 19 numbers.  What strange times we live in...

On the quilting front I have been plugging along.  Also doing a number of clean up projects in my studio.  Here are a few finishes I recently finished.

This is my jelly snowflake quilt along.  I will probably put on a border of some kind.

Squirrel

Recently I watched a U-Tube video by Lori Holt.  She has started a series of posts called Sew Your Stash. The first project was a pattern called cross roads.  Well I Just had to make it.  I have a bin FULL of two patch blocks.  It was easy to sew them up into four patch blocks.  I love it and it make a darling love (charity) quilt. After this posts I am going to stitch it together and add it to the ever growing pile of tops for quilting.

New Toy and Quilting Update

For my new toy, I bought a new power washer. I went crazy for a few days cleaning the outside. Mainly the porch.  Now it looks like it is brand new.  I washed some other areas and am very happy with how they look.

On the quilting front, I have been steadily sewing.  I have kept up with my sew alongs. I am doing the snow flake sew along from the Fat Quarter shop. I think there is one more clue and then I can assemble the top.   Here is my design wall and it’s pretty full.

I am also doing the sew along using a Jolly Bar 2 book, also from the Fat Quarter Shop.  One of these projects needs to finish up so I have more room on the design wall.

I have been sewing my leader Ender blocks from the past year and this is the layout.  There are MANY MORE to include but I’m loving how it is progressing.

Lucy quickly approved the design.

Here are the blocks from this years leader ender challenge.  To date I have 49 done.  I am using mainly batiks and trying to use all the little pieces.  Mine are the six inch version, so cute.

The garden continues to amaze me.

Stay safe in these times of Covid 19. My DILs father has it and she is sick.  She keeps hoping that it is a regular virus....  in the meantime I have my GD here for a week and that will continue until her Mom is better.  Such strange times that are happening.

Busy at home

Busy at home doing chores.  It’s now around 2 pm and I’m done doing house stuff. I’ll head downstairs to the studio for some peaceful stitching of some kind.

Some pictures of what blooming on my property in the mountains.

My nine patches with the other blocks for Afternoon Delight.

I started the Jolly Bar sew along with Pat Sloan and the fat quarter shop.  These are relatively short sew alongs. The first picture shows my starling blocks.  And a few leader and ender blocks.

Here is the other sew along. I’m sure that these will be the corner blocks.

It will be quiet here as usual.  Nothing planned (like we could do anything anyway lol).

Stay safe and make sure to get some therapeutic sewing every day.  🐸
